In the peaceful town of Chamonix, overlooking Mont Blanc and its famous peaks, we serve and support residents the best way we can, because community and connection are the foundation of a long-lasting happy life.

Incredible place! Mathias is a really nice host and him and the rest of the team makes you feel part of a family. All the yoga instructors are amazing and the view is just breathtaking. One of the best yoga retreats of my life!

Had such a beautiful experience. The views are so breathtaking that it didn’t seem real. Yoga classes and meditation on the terrace were incredible and made me feel so at peace and mindful. Such an amazing sense of belonging and acceptance from everyone at the chalet, they really make you feel welcome and at home (the jacuzzi in my room helped too!). I’m already planning my return in the near future. Very grateful to Mathias, Ciara, and Oscar for the community and atmosphere they created!

Some people do manage to be the change they want to see in this world.
And Mathias, founder of Edelweiss Yoga Chalet, is a glorious example of this.
As a teacher myself i had come to a point in my yoga practice - having endured just like everyone else a challenging year 2020 - where i needed to reconnect with myself and my inspiration. Rekindle my spirit. (Which i would do in India under normal circumstances.)
Instead I decided to book myself a spot on a 4 days retreat at the chalet in April.
Mathias has assembled The Edelweiss crew: joyful and talented teachers but also other people from the local community ranging from mountain guide to cheese maker or masseuse, that have made my retreat truly unforgettable.
He is an incredible host. Genuinely enjoying caring for his guests.
The lead teacher on the retreat had a deep and broad knowledge of yoga that enabled me to improve my personal practice.
I left feeling rejuvenated and grounded.
The chalet interior is authentic and exquisitely decorated with a lot of Himalayan art brought back by Maurice Herzog form his expeditions. That in itself has ravished me. Then there is the stunning view and delicious vegetable meals cooked by the chef.
I honestly can not wait to come back.

I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Edelweiss Yoga Chalet. The setting of the chalet is beautiful and peaceful, every morning you wake up to the most stunning mountain views. The environment created by Mathias and his team allows you to completely relax and recharge the batteries.
I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to feel better in their body, mind and soul. I feel renewed and know that I will return. Merci beaucoup!

I stayed here last year to take place in one of the early retreats. The chalet and its view towards the mountains is absolutely breathtaking!
Matt is an incredibly warm host who will make sure that you feel at home. During the day, we did nice walks around the area, in the evening there were fun activities. The absolute highlight was to see a beautiful glacier lake that Matt led us to.
I left feeling very relaxed, positive and warm. I will definitely come back soon. Thank you Matt!
